Being a teenager is hard these days, kids grow up faster than they did 20 years ago, you can blame it on advancements in technology or steroids if you want to. As if dealing with issues like teenage pregnancy and peer pressure to use drugs wasn’t hard enough, add the classic “Yo momma” jokes in the mix and it can be too much to handle. It can be embarrassing to get burned by your peers with a sick “Yo Momma” joke. That is exactly what happened to 14 year old Chad Stephenson.
Chad Stephenson had an experience that he will never forget for the rest of his life. Chad and fellow classmates were standing around in a circle in the gym before school when one of his classmates told a “Yo Momma” joke that would bring him to tears.
Scott Wiggins’ joke wasn’t intended to do as much damage as it did, in fact some might even say it was dumb. When he said, “Yo momma so stupid she got locked in a grocery store and starved to death.” at that moment Chad fell to the ground like he was punched in the stomach. Wiggins said, “I couldn’t tell if he was laughing or crying. The rest of us were laughing though, I got him pretty good.”
Stephenson was crushed, nobody knew it, but 2 years earlier his mother actually died while shopping in a Piggly Wiggly supermarket . Chad said, “There are just some things you shouldn’t joke about! I hope he never tells that joke again. When we asked, if his mother had really starved to death. He responded emotionally with, “No, my momma was so fat that she broke her leg and gravy poured out! All of her gravy poured out and she died!”
